points are scored for both qualifying (the heats) and the finals, there is a maximum of 25 points that can be scored in a single meeting.
Qualifying:
Qualifying Points decide were you will start in the final and also count towards your overall points for the meeting. you will score points on the two heats of the three in which you complete the most laps, regardless of the position you finish the race in.
Fifteen Points are awarded to the highest qualifier, down to 1 point for the fifteenth placed driver.
Finals
For the finals points are awarded based on your finishing position in the final.
10 points are awarded to the first place driver down to 1 point for the tenth placed driver.
Dropped rounds
Dropped rounds are to allow drives to miss one or two meetings a year and still be able to compete for there position in the points championships.
Your dropped rounds will be your lowest scoring rounds including zero scores.
The number of rounds dropped depends on the length of the championship.
Points will begin to be dropped once the number of race meetings left to run is equal to the amount of rounds being dropped.
Once the scores begin to be dropped it will appear as though you are scouring less because every time you score points your lowest scouring round is being dropped.
For example if you scored 23 points at a meeting but your lowest scoring round is 13 points it would appear as though you only scored 10 points at the meeting, as you have dropped 13 points.
